Rotation Experiences

Our outpatient continuity site for Family Medicine residents

• PGY-1 residents will be scheduled 1 morning or afternoon a week

• PGY-2, PGY-3 will be scheduled for a full day or more per week depending on their rotations

The Northwell Family Health Center provides comprehensive medical care for more than 32,000 men, women, and children each year

• Many staff members are bilingual

• Continuity with the same physician for each patient is a paramount practice

• FM: Primary site of ambulatory adult/pediatric/GYN continuity clinic

A 310-bed, nonprofit community hospital

• Provides tertiary care for complex conditions including pancreatic disease, emergency surgical procedures, plastic and reconstructive surgery, and surgical care for cancers

• ED is Level II trauma center, sees more than 50,000 patients per year and is a designated center for trauma, stroke and PCI

• FM: Primary site of OBGYN rotation

A 229-bed hospital, it opened in 1983 as the New York metropolitan area's only hospital designed exclusively for children and the largest provider of pediatric health services in New York State

• The center serves 1.8 million children in Brooklyn, Queens, Nassau and Suffolk counties

• Its mission is to offer the best pediatric and children’s health care services

• FM: Primary site of Pediatric Inpatient and Pediatric Emergency Medicine Rotations
