Northwell Health provides health and welfare benefits. Residents and fellows become eligible for all health and welfare benefits on the first day of employment. These include:

• Short-term disability

• Employer-paid basic life insurance/accidental death and dismemberment at 1½ times pay up to $500,000

• Salary continuation during disability for up to 12 weeks and 50% short-term disability thereafter at no cost

• 60% long-term disability provided at no cost

• 50% of short-term disability provided at no cost, up to 60% available with cost

• Supplemental life insurance/accidental death and dismemberment

Retirement Program:

Upon hire you have the option to contribute to the 401(k) plan offered by Northwell Health.

Time-off benefits:

Members are entitled to 20 days of paid time off (PTO) each contract year. These 20 days must be used during the period covered by the contract and may not be carried into subsequent years.

• PGY-1 - $80,465

• PGY-2 - $83,600

• PGY-3 - $85,690
